In 2018, my husband and I took a month-long honeymoon road trip across the United States to discover many vegan restaurants on the West Coast. Some of the drives we did in between cities that we visited contained hours and hours of beautiful scenery and also hours and hours of deep conversation. We would speak of this future bakery that we would dream of having and owning. We would serve the best sweets and treats that we could conjure up, and sell them at an affordable rate for all people to enjoy. We didn’t want to be elaborate or over the top, just wanted to be easy and purely vegan.

And this is how our dream began…

Long hours of conversations, and ideas being thrown around. We knew one day we would make this dream of ours come true. To serve quality vegan products to a captive audience that wanted to have vegan options for family or friends, no matter what their dietary restrictions contained. But our dreams were in the clouds and were still only dreams after all.

I moved to the United Kingdom with my husband after our first year of marriage and started looking for jobs. I was able to work in the same office as my husband in the Estate Agency field and took up the role as an administrator. I was good at it, and it allowed us to spend many hours together. When a birthday of a colleague would come up, I would find out what type of cake was their favourite, and “veganize” it so that we could all celebrate together, being able to have everyone included, no matter what their dietary preference was. All of our colleagues were elated every time it was someone’s birthday, just so they could have more cake! Many times we were told, we should do this for a living! So after a year and a half of being told every month or every few weeks when another cake was rolled out that we should sell them, we decided to take the plunge and begin the bakery of our dreams.

Even as a young girl, I would bake with my mother and have the most fun doing it. I wasn’t ever really excited about how things tasted, but rather, how much joy they brought to other people. Thankfully, most everything tasted great too.

As Vegans, we have the obligation to care for all beings and be as sustainable as we can. This means not using any milk from cows, or eggs from chickens. You won’t find any meat from any animal on our menus. We also use only recyclable packaging on all of our items that are delivered or picked up.

We also believe that having a vegan diet is one of the most inclusive diets as most people are able to eat everything that we serve. We understand there may be some with allergies or intolerances to certain products, and therefore we have done our best to accommodate for those as well.

We have made the decision to also make everything Gluten Free as well, and we will try to change the ingredients in our recipes to accommodate as best as possible.

We must say, although we may not use nuts in your order, as they are being handled in the same kitchen, they may contain traces as such, and may not be suitable for people with nut allergies. We apologise as this is the nature of the kitchen in which we cook and bake.
